WHOLESALE TEXTILES TO THE TRADE

History of Debbie Cloth

Debbie Cloth was developed by the founder of our company in the late 1950's to early 1960's.

Working with our yarn suppliers, knitters and dyers, he developed a synthetic yarn, brushed tricot fabric, for the lingerie trade.

He named the fabric, Debbie Cloth, after his daughter.

The fabric, was mainly used for robes. It was machine washable, available in a full line of colors, and was a luxurious fabric.

Over the years, new applications developed. It was used for bedspreads, pillows, warm-up suits, glove liners, bag liners, dolls and crafts.

Soon, other companies had developed their own version, of this fabric.

As the market changed, most of the lingerie market, started to bring in garments from overseas, and there was little need for Debbie Cloth.

We are fortunate, to be able to bring back to you, this fine, fabric.

It is a warm, wonderful, fabric. Explore the possibilities!
